First aid courses for tree surgeons and landscapers
Its OK having the chainsaw first aid kit and all the body army with safety kits galore, but not knowing what to do in a tragedy.
“all the gear and no idea”
You hear a scream, a horrible shout, blood curdling yell, the sound of an horrific human noise, you drop your gear and rush to the scene.
Your work mate, is on his knees, covered in blood, he falls on the floor, his life blood is pumping out, soaking away into the ground where he lays…..possibly bleeding to death.
It takes vital seconds for you to grasp the situation and you know your fast effective action can save his life.
In all honesty, do you really know what to do in an emergency situation?
Let’s be real, even if you have done your health and safety course – can you stop catastrophic bleeding? yes, you
have a first aid kit, do you know how to use the stuff in there because bandages and plasters are not really going to help a sliced artery.
When, or if, you did your First Aid at Work Course, did you learn how to deal with real trauma? Did the course cover catastrophic bleeding?
In some cases, not too many thankfully, FAW courses don’t deal with that higher level of risk such as severe bleeding cause by a chain saw accident.
We, as qualified first aid instructors can run a course for you, to specifically deal with and treat traumatic injuries such as severe bleeding.
How to use the right equipment and medical disposables that will stop catastroic bleeding.
You will be taught the very same methods, of stopping the bleeding, using a tourniquet and dressing the wound, that the military use in battle ….and they don’t waste time!
It is a two hour course, we can come to you, its cheaper than paying your staff travel and accommodation expenses, plus extra time off.
The course starts at £50 per person.
